Primary Responsibilities Performance Leadership Develop and maintain extremely strong interpersonal relationship with senior clients Oversee client service function for program planning, problem solving and strategic counsel Keep client programs on schedule and ensure all deadlines are met Supervise all work quality, including all writing and editing, and client deliverables Be a consumer of news - help identify media trends/interests, what 'works' with top media Workplace Leadership Provide leadership, direction and guidance to account teams Conduct timely performance appraisals for staff Promote team cooperation through genuinely valuing the opinions and views of others Link reward, recognition and promotion directly to the climate that staff members create, as well as the results that are delivered Develop and coach account teams for peak performance by providing timely, effective, and appropriate feedback Work with peers to further the mission, goals and culture of the agency Market Leadership Organize new business research and information gathering; assess new business leads Lead and participate in new business pitch development and/or presentations Expand scope of work (i.e., incremental/diverse types of projects, etc.) and fee billings on current accounts Operational Leadership Responsible for management of overall profitability on projects Manage entire account budget including account review Plan team hours against fee/program needs to maintain profitable work load Track/enter time in a precise and timely manner and ensure team members do same Strategic Leadership Provide leadership in the areas of total account management, media relations and the provision of strategic guidance and counsel while serving as senior agency representative
