Job Description:
Responsible for working collaboratively with the Bank of the West Investment team in managing the investment portfolios; and define/ drive through the organization the appropriate asset allocation guidelines and protocols. This position requires an experienced, skilled, and polished investment professional who can speak knowledgeably with investors, both private and institutional, about the Bank of the West Investment Department philosophy.Position Accountabilities 1. Have a direct impact on the profitability of the firm through strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results.2. Utilize understanding of macro- and micro-economic issues to develop and articulate the firm's investment strategy and view of the economy, markets and global issues. 3. Lead the implementation of a highly disciplined approach to analyzing, selecting and monitoring investment managers. 4. Establish and monitor investment policy, asset allocation guidelines, and compliance and risk procedures.5. Oversee relationships and negotiations with external investment managers, consultants and custodians; make recommendations on external providers.6.
