Job Description:

Executes this role by performing the following duties personally or through designees. Manages and provide guidance and leadership for CAD resource management and capability development. Manages directly discrete CAD activities in the execution of specific discrete CAD assignments. Manage overall CAD resources, including sharing of resources across projects and the assignment of resources to long-term projects while maintaining budget requirements and optimizing resource allocations. Develop long-term CAD strategy within Magna Steyr de Mexico in regard to specific programs (e.g. Catia v5, DMU etc.) Interface with the IT department as the CAD expert to develop our competence and methods in regards to the CAD process, tools and techniques. Responsible for CAD competence development to meet current and future business needs. Serve as a point person in developing components / systems as it relates to scope of work for CAD program. Manage the workload and resources effectively to ensure timing and objectives are met for customer and Magna milestones. Identify program deficiencies and provide recommendations. Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non conformities relating to CAD process and system. Identifies and records any problems relating to the CAD process and quality systems. Initiates, recommends or provides solutions through designated channels developing program and strategic definition of CAD needs and process requirements.
