The level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 17-bed unit with semiprivate rooms, and the Level II Newborn Intermediate Care Unit is a 13-bed unit, also with semi-private rooms. Neonatologists, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and other professional support staff are available 24 hours a day to care for babies and their families. There are nesting rooms available at no charge to the parents of the NICU babies as needed. The Registered Clinical Nurse (RN) is fundamental in achieving recognized world-class health care. Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment. The primary responsibility is providing care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process.
