Job Description:
Ensures all staff complete required orientation and continuing education programs and training, new coordinator training, institutionally mandated training and certification programs, and ensures updated training records are maintained. * Oversees development and implementation of cancer specific training programs as needed. * Conducts periodic staff meetings to ensure staff is kept abreast of institutional goals, initiatives, policies and procedures. * Determines administrative and data management staff needs as protocols are open and conducted in consultation with Program leaders and senior staff. * Provides input on the feasibility of conducting new trials, any personnel conflicts with ongoing trials, and other logistical and administrative issues. * Provides administrative coordination with affiliates and, along with other senior staff serves as the CCTO liaison to the and other cooperative groups and institutions. * Serves as a resource to Research Administrative staff, physicians, nurses, and non-nursing clinical research staff to identify and provide information needed for special reports, grant applications and other decisions. * Coordinates website updates and maintenance of accrual information. * Manages overall day to day administrative operations of the CCTO including space allocation, equipment upkeep and supply utilization. * Works with Program Leaders, CCTO Leadership, Hematology Oncology Leadership, Research Administrative staff and specific PI\'s to ensure financial stability of individual programs and CCTO general accounts.
