Short Description: Manages both the planning and execution of all aspects of the drilling operations for the Division in addition to working closely with the completion team to ensure fit for purpose well design. Ensure departmental standards (propose where non exist) for capital budget planning, well design, drilling programs, cost estimates, AFE's, final well reports and operational practices. Track metrics to demonstrate progress towards achieving ESH and departmental goals. Provide leadership that fosters Devon's values. Responsible for administering employee training with focus on mentoring new engineers. Oversight responsibility for a large group of vendors including tracking performance.Requirements: Exhibit all of the devon Leadership Attributes with focus on teamwork and good communication skills. Ensuring accurate estimates for capital budget estimates, scoping cost and AFE's. Ensuring consistent fit for purpose well disign and detailed drilling programs. Ensure consistency in implementation of field operations with focus on ESH goals and meeting all regulatory requirements. Ensure retention of lessons learned to be shared across the department for improved performance. Instrumental in employment development and retention. Develop trust in relationsihps with other disciplines within the dividion to be recognized as a team player.
