Our job is to help those who house America. Manage certain activities related to the accounting, analysis and reporting for Fannie Mae's Retained Securities Portfolio. The role of the manger will be to manage a team of accounting professionals in performing the business validations, accounting and other analysis related to securities accounting. Manage the monthly business validation processes to ensure accuracy of data used for accounting and reporting purposes. Manage the preparation of accounting journal entries and associated reconciliations related to complex portfolio securities transactions. Manage the preparation of an analytical designed to explain monthly, quarterly and annual accounting results. Manage the preparation of various internal reports. Ensure that the proper controls are in place for all related processes. Ensure that all processes are fully documented and evidenced to be in compliance with Fannie Mae's policy related to the Sarbanes Oxley Act. Manage the preparation of ad hoc analysis as required. Perform other duties as assigned. BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred. 7 to 10 years of progressively challenging experience in accounting-related position, including supervisory responsibilities; experience in the secondary mortgage market and/or financial institution desired, public accounting experience a plus. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent analytical skills and ability to solve problems. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to team with a variety of stakeholders within the organization, including Capital Markets.
