Job Description:
Overview Identifies, develops and negotiates strategic business partnerships that fit within the strategy and long range business plans of United Online while assuring successful financial results and business expansion for its Classmates subsidiary. The incumbent will play a crucial role in defining the business strategy at Classmates Online, Inc. Responsibilities Duties included but not limited to: ï šÂ§ Identify, negotiate and close major strategic partnerships and agreements in areas such as marketing, technology, and distribution. These typically involve multiple layers of implementation and commit significant corporate resources to implement. ï šÂ§ Monitor deal integration and ongoing partner interactions to ensure that UOL/Classmates continues to derive maximum value from its partner relationships. ï šÂ§ Develop robust deal models of potential opportunities. ï šÂ§ Prepare and present deal models to Classmates and United Online executive management, including the CEO and executive officers. ï šÂ§ Responsible for M&A activities for the Classmates.com business working closely with corporate M&A function. ï šÂ§ Work with the Ad Sales organization to implement new products and maximize the value of current products and inventory. ï šÂ§ Monitor markets, industries and companies with an eye toward identifying potential partners. ï šÂ§ Discuss potential deal structures and the effects they may have on company P&Ls and balance sheets. Qualifications ï šÂ§ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, MBA is a plus. ï šÂ§ 10+ years acquisition/deal experience preferably with Internet, High Tech, Media or similar industries. Progressive experience in large-scale strategic partnerships. ï šÂ§ Familiarity with Internet, technology and media sectors is a must. ï šÂ§ M&A experience within the technology and media sectors preferred. ï šÂ§ Excellent financial research and analytical skills, particularly with regard to evaluation of new business opportunities. ï šÂ§ Knowledge of financial, economic and accounting theory, financial and statistical modeling techniques. ï šÂ§ Excellent verbal, written, negotiation and especially presentation skills. ï šÂ§ Exceptional interpersonal skills reflected in interactions at all corporate levels in multiple departments, from entry-level employees to executive management.
