Job Description:
Bayleaf Software has immediate openings for full time, junior and intermediate desktop application programmers. Duties will include the design and development of Delphi and Visual Basic applications.
As a member of our development team, you will be required to interact with our customers and participate in a collaborative design process. Excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential.
Job Requirements:
“Must have” skills:
- Experience developing desktop applications with Delphi, VB, C++ or C#;
- Experience with Access, SQL Server, Oracle or xBase databases;
- Excellent English written and verbal communicational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of Development standards and Best Practices including a structured approach to coding and documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks, adhere to tight deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;
- Capable of taking direction and working independently and in a team environment on very detail-oriented projects.
“Nice to have” skills:
- Experience with reporting tools such as Quick Reports, Crystal Reports or Active Reports;
- User interface design skills (Windows UI and thin web clients)
- Experience in mapping and GIS (MapInfo or ESRI);
- Familiarity with automated testing and QA processes and standards;
- Familiarity with source code control systems;
- Experience developing dynamic web applications and web services
Education Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in a related field an asset;
This is a full time salaried position at our Yaletown offices in Vancouver.
