Job Description
The core technology is developed in a PHP/MySQL/Linux environment. The UI and reporting tool is developed in PHP, and CSS. We are currently seeking an experienced entrepreneurial minded Team Lead PHP Architect Developer to join our Technology group. This individual will have a proven track record to work remotely and independently under little supervision. You will work directly with management and other 3rd party vendors to communicate and provide technical project expertise and direction to the successful launching of web applications; including hands-on PHP and HTML programming. In particular, you will have oversight, direction and decision making responsibilities to make best business judgment to manage the development, evolution, deployment and maintenance of web-based applications. The application is written in object-oriented PHP5 and runs on MySQL in a RedHat Linux environment.
Job Requirements:
• Candidate must be a business minded, self-starter with broad technology skills and curiosity
• College degree, in Computer Science, related degree, or comparable experience equivalent to web/software development
• 5+ years of professional full lifecycle development experience
• 5+ years solid expert level experience using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and Linux, including in-depth familiarity with the PHP5 object model
• 5+ years hands-on experience working in a Linux platform, with proficient knowledge of databases and servers (i.e., MySQL, etc.)
• Advanced technical proficiency using client-side technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, XML, and DHTML
• Must have demonstrated experience working, meeting and exceeding deadline, while working remotely
• Must have a proven success record participating or lead in full lifecycle software development
• Experience with high-volume, rapid transaction processing systems (big plus) additionally the ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with business side clients to gather and translate functional and technical specs.
• Experience writing shared and reusable components of code and experience designing and tuning applications that scale
• Must have experience administering, modifying, manipulating and optimizing MySQL servers; back-end databases, including CSS skills and experience optimizing for different browsers
