AVP - Reinsurance Operations Job ID #: CMB-AVP-RF Position Title: AVP - Reinsurance Operations Location: Functional Area: Insurance Company Name: AIG Corporate Employment Type: Full Time - Regular Education Preferred: Bachelors Experience Required: 6-9 years Relocation Provided: No Position Description: AIG Reinsurance has a great opportunity for an AVP of Reinsurance Operations in our downtown New York City offices. Position Description: Manage GRD Operations - DBG reinsurance Operations unit, staff of 7 which sets up treaties in the eTreaty Reference system for DBG and THistory imaging system for DBG, AIU, and Life. Work with profit centers, reinsurance accountants, claims, and DBG reinsurance officers to address and resolve all treaty coding issues (SCI/REM/RDPS, etc) and provide statistical support for treaty renewals on a timely basis. Monitor, maintain, and ensure compliance with SOX controls and procedures and treaty signing 9-month rule, and risk transfer reporting. Coordinate PWC, Internal Audit, and SOX Management testing of department procedures GRD contact person and liaison with DBG Comptrollers to provide information for and state (PA, NY, DE, Alaska, CA) insurance department audit, A.M. Best, and S&P request. Position Requirements: 7-15 years experience working at a primary insurance company or reinsurance company in the operations or technical accounting areas. Prior management experience of a staff at a reinsurance or insurance company. Knowledge of reinsurance Treaty terms and accounting a plus. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent computer skills (MS Excel) and hands on knowledge of reinsurance or insurance systems.
