Description Leads the performance of high quality continuous audit services, in the most effective and efficient manner, increasing management's awareness of risks and opportunities and independently partnering with management to achieve solutions and ensure exposure is assumed at the proper level. Dealing with general controls, risk management, safeguarding assets, loss prevention, and other protective actions, this position conducts reviews that are cost effective and responsive to business risks, control needs and regulatory requirements.* Leads IT audit services for at least one department and a significant project/area of responsibility, including:* Ensures accomplishments of audit objectives, through oversight of IT audit plan, performance of field work using computer-assisted audit techniques, and review of work papers and reports for accuracy and findings.* Proactively analyzes events to determine impact upon assigned audit areas and other areas of the Corporation, and provides senior managers with feedback and suggestions for improvement.* Provides supporting documentation for work performed and issues identified.* Maintains strong relationships/contacts with section, division, and section managers.* Reports issues to management timely; achieves solutions with management to complex issues.* Coordinates resources to ensure plan is completed effectively and efficiently.* Assumes responsibility for accuracy and quality of team's work, and for meeting assigned target dates.* Ensures strategic IT audit plans appropriately address exposures and issues.* Provides consultation to audit clients and other audit teams. Provides guidance, direction and assistance to develop other audit staff.* Writes and/or edits reports detailing status of issues and recommendations to senior managers.* Provides IT department report for quarterly Audit Committee meetings.* Develops/modifies audit related computer programs.
