Vice President of Systems Development We are seeking a Vice President of Systems Development for our Alpharetta, GA office.This position is responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of application systems within HealthPort Technologies organization. This position is also responsible for establishing and approving of standards and techniques for improving the development processes and continually monitoring them to ensure compliance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide management directions for the application programming group including setting priorities, coordinating and reporting of the group activities. Direct and manage the activities of the members of the application programming group.Manage the daily activities of the members of the application programming group Provide senior technical leadership to IT and HealthPort management including being conversant with the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact the enterprise and work with the Director of Product Management to determine how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of HealthPort. Works closely with other groups to coordinate plans and activities of development, as well as software upgrades for package software currently in use within HelathPort.Review the status of all development projects with the CIO and IT Project Manager on weekly/monthly basis to ensure schedules are adhered to and projects are delivered on agreed to schedule Works closely with IT and non-IT groups to coordinate plans and activities for the installation, configuration and deployment of new applications.
