REQUIREMENTS: (Applicants must have the required experience or education as described below and meet any selective factors, when specified.)Basic Requirements: Degree*: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position**. * from an accredited college or university **some examples of relevant course work would include: linguistics, comparative linguistics, applied linguistics, second language acquisition, comparative structure, computational linguistics, etc.; OR Combination of education and experience--courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in A above. At the GG-12 level: In addition, all applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GG-11 grade level, which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience demonstrates the ability to manage language training programs, including managing budget and resources allocation; the ability to supervise staff members; the ability to interact with others; and the ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English. At the GG-13 level: In addition, all applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GG-12 grade level, which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must submit a copy of college transcripts or a list of college courses that include credits hours, course description and grades of each course.
