Job Description:
There is a four-course teaching load per semester. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in English, rhetoric, technical communications, or related field at the time of appointment. Candidates currently enrolled in a doctoral program are encouraged to apply, but they should make clear their progress toward completion. In addition, the candidate must have experience teaching undergraduates technical writing. The candidates should also demonstrate potential for scholarly activities and meeting student needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching technical writing, workplace writing, and new media writing; adeptness in using technology innovatively in teaching; related professional experience in corporate, governmental, non-profit, and/or academic spheres; ability to help lead in the course and program development of the professional writing track.Final determination will be based upon successful interview, which will include a teaching demonstration.
