Job Description:
The board council or committee chairs to guide and develop the services and projects of the AzDA. It is understood that all aspects of this position description are to be carried out with the approval of the BT and aligned with board policies and procedures. The AzDA seeks candidates that have demonstrated professionalism to enhance the integrity and ethics in the profession of dentistry. To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements: a college degree (preferably advanced; working knowledge of and experience with strategic planning; strong conceptual and analytical skills; excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships within the association entities and members as well as AzDA management and staff; strong understanding and experience with management information systems and technology; public speaking experience; organizational and prioritization skills; experience at independent decision-making using exceptional judgment; demonstrated management expertise; and proven leadership qualities. This position requires extensive travel as well as working some weekends for meeting and various work-related obligations. Knowledge of the health care industry and the profession of dentistry and the issues facing dentists are highly desirable. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
