This position requires a Master\'s degree and a minimum of 5 years experience with health and wellness issues, including clinical experience with affected health care professionals, supervision, and program design and management; familiarity with professional regulatory issues and knowledge of specialized treatment and monitoring resources; excellent verbal and written communication; public speaking; budgeting; people and problem-solving skills; ability to make independent judgments or to access reliable information in content areas; developing a working knowledge of new content areas as the need arises; working effectively with associations/society staff, volunteers and external agencies; managing multiple projects simultaneously; a clear understanding of confidentiality laws and sensitivity issues related to health and wellness; travel and occasional weekend work and attendance at social/business functions outside normal business hours. Highly desirable skills include : Master\'s degree in a health-related field with some training in epidemiology and/or community needs assessment; familiarity with dental practice (possible experience as a dental team member); previous staff or volunteer experience in a professional association and/or peer assistance program; clinical experience in physical rehabilitation and/or chronic pain management; experience in meeting planning; experience with adult education; experience with ergonomics.
