Job Description:
Directs surveillance of construction contractor activities to assure conformance with contract plans and specifications, well as governing codes and regulations. Key Requirements: U.S. Citizen Major Duties:Serves as Resident Engineer and Contracting Officer Representative responsible for construction management and contract administration associated with the Districts mission, for all construction projects assigned to the Resident. You will be the delegated formal authority as Contracting Officers Representative (COR), responsible for the enforcement, interpretation, and administration of assigned construction contracts. Maintains liaison with customer representatives and the public on matters of safety, installation regulations, coordination of power outages, progress of construction work, and their requirements with respect to work under construction. Supervises and provides technical direction to a staff of professional, technical, and clerical employees.Qualifications:Click on link below to view qualification standard. General Schedule Specialized experience includes but is not limited to: Plans work to be accomplished, sets priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Gives advice, counsel, or instruction to individual employees on both work and administrative matters. Performs full range of contract administration for assigned contracts and orders as ACO and/or COR. Serves as the senior Corps representative in the assigned geographic area. Serves as technical advisor to local interests during flood events.
