Job Description:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Intake and initial planning for potential foster placements. a) Initial assessment of child/family strengths and needs. b) Include parents, foster parents and others involved in a team to develop and implement the care plan. c) Identify and coordinate support services for child and family. d) Coordinate with appropriate professionals/agencies. e) Maintain appropriate documentation. 2) Coordinate case plan with family, foster family, and community systems involved. a) Provide training and guidance to the foster family. b) Maintain necessary records in accordance with WAC. c) Provide direct services to the natural and foster families and children. d) Prepare for and attend related court hearings as required. e) Collaborate with DCFS workers and other team members in ongoing case planning. 3) Meetings/Trainings a) Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings. b) Assist in teaching quarterly pre-service classes for potential foster parents. c) Attend inter agency meeting as directed. d) Attend/participate in CCSSW meetings as necessary. 4) Professional Development a) Participate in related/available training opportunities. 5) Other duties as assigned.
