Job Description:
To provide and implement manufacturing methodology to include methods and time standards, tool and equipment designs and specifications, estimates and related engineering data pertinent to achieve the most economical manufacture of parts and products. the location of the position is in the Hampton Roads, VA area. Duties and Responsibilities:Through research and analysis of advanced technology, automation and mechanization, develops and recommends proposals to innovate improved manufacturing methods and procedures, machinery, tooling, etc., directed at reduction of manufacturing costs to achieve profit, goals, and marketing objectives. Oversees and participates in the development and execution of engineering studies and analyzes designed to delineate work processes, technology, and other production input requirements that maximize production output and quality and support overall profit objectives. Oversees the tracking, recording, and reporting of unit product costs through the computerized Bill of Materials and routing computer system. Oversees staff personnel involved in the daily administration of this system. Oversees and participates in the implementation of engineering changes received from A. St. into MANUFACTURING COMPANY Incorporated manufacturing processes. Reviews test materials and documentation pursuant to engineering changes and forwards to A. St. for further approval. Represents the department at planning and other regular management meetings to provide assistance and recommendations to resolve engineering and technical problems.
