Motivated sales management professional with experience managing teams that sell into large enterprise customers with UNIX and/or Mainframe environments for a position that provides the opportunity to take a worldwide leadership role in strategic competitive sales.This sales director position is focused on managing an opportunity-driven team of sales specialists that targets enterprise accounts with legacy datacenters and helps them migrate to the Windows Platform. In addition to managing the team and owning the team quota, the director will work at a high level across Microsoft to develop a strategic migration framework required to help increase Microsoft?s share in the traditional server and workstation markets that are currently dominated by Mainframes and UNIX.He/She is responsible for building a portfolio of business relationships comprised of Systems Integrators (SIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and other business solution focused partners which result in increased sales and enhancement of Microsoft?s value proposition versus Mainframes, UNIX and Linux in the datacenter. Through this process, the sales director will gain insights into how to most effectively lower costs and provide higher value Microsoft based solutions. These business insights need to be translated into new strategies, new sales tools and collateral (with support from the product and competitive sales readiness groups) and delivered out to field sales.
