The person must be a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in chemical engineering. 15+ years in the chemical process industry with 10+ years in a chemical manufacturing environment. Must have experience in leading manufacturing excellence programs at multiple plant sites that needs to include quality systems and six-sigma and lean manufacturing initiatives. Experience in reliability and energy program management is preferred have a world class client in the chemical industry who is a global producer of high performance products, and am recruiting a Manufacturing Excellence Manager. In this high visibility role you will be responsible for driving and coordinating the overall Manufacturing Excellence program for my clients NA plants, which will include quality systems (quality control initiatives), reliability and energy improvement programs. The role of this position is a central function to drive the development of common tools and methods while coordinating and facilitating the plant based improvement efforts. Some of the Responsibilities will include: 1) Develop and implement quality tools from Six-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing for use across the plants. 2) Develop and manage a training and support program to help plant personnel get up to speed and implement their quality projects. 3) Track, measure, document and benchmark plant quality projects as well as show how they bring value to the company.
