Great opportunity for a direct position for a hands-on Director of Product Development / Engineer in a manufacturing environment! This position will be responsible for managing and directing a portion of the client's material handling engineering department. Responsibilities include design, development, test, product maintenance, and VIP activites for a product line. Will serve as team leader for new product programs. Qualitifed candidates will have a thorough knowledge of material handling equipment design and development, and ten plus years experience with platform development, weldments, hydraulics, electrical and/or mechanisms. Will have a detailed understanding of advanced electrical control system technology and ability to prudently apply that technology to warehouse products. That technology includes AC controls, DC-SEM CANbus communications and control system diagnostics. In addition, will have broad competence in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic design engineering along with strong planning and leadership skills. Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Civil Engineering required. Masters degree desired.
