Job Description:
Program Manager, Mechanical Engineering Individual is responsible for studying problems, design specification, design and development of product disposables and manufacturing processes for complex, electro-mechanical medical instruments and other needs under the general direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. As such, the position requires complete understanding of mechanical engineering and complex electromechanical systems, as well as processes to manufacture high volume plastic disposable parts. Working with vendors the individual will develop possible solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and implement them using his/her technical expertise. Individual will work independently and with vendors to develop complex mechanical designs using state of the art theories, practices and tools. The incumbent will contribute to the completion of specific projects and will have frequent inter- and intra-organizational contacts. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources.Core Responsibilities:1. Work independently and with others to develop high quality processes and designs that meet or exceed requirements. 2. Researches and analyzes data such as design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of application or design. 3. Create specifications and simple design proposals, and manuals to determine design criteria.4. Provide engineering support related to focus area to manufacturing, R&D, and customer support teams.
