M-Audio is a leading provider of creative tools for musicians and audio professionals, headquartered in Irwindale, CA we are part of the Audio Division within Avid Technology.Responsibilities: Manage a team of developers to produce device drivers and applications as required to support the hardware products being developed by internally or by external resources. Working with the rest of Engineering Management, set priorities for these developers to ensure that all required tasks are completed on time and within scope. Work with the Hardware Engineering Manager and Product Marketing to ensure that the scope of work and the technical details of this work are appropriate to the requirements. Reviewspecifications for technical feasibility, suggesting changes as necessary to ensure the success of the documented products. Track, manage, and acquire resources "manpower, development tools, computer hardware, development hardware "working with Program Management and Engineering Management (VP, Director, HW Manager, QA) as necessary. Provide technical expertise to direct reports, the engineering organization, and all of the company, as necessary to ensure the proper requirements are defined and are met during development. Review, update, and manage processes inside the SW engineering department, and coordinate these processes with other development and operational processes. Stay abreast of new developments and technologies as they impact product.
