Primary responsibilities of this position to include: Growth and maintenance of Aon Consultings business as the primary consultant or project manager for small to mid-sized clients. Also, may serve in a secondary role for large, multi-service clients. Specifically, will have responsibility to serve as the lead manager for 6 to 8 small to mid-sized clients and will be responsible for managing all client work and work teams. Regional Defined Benefit/Defined Contribution practice or team leader responsibilities in a small to mid-size office. Possess a thorough understanding of the Defined Benefit/Defined Contribution practice, and will actively participate in task forces, special project teams and will assume leadership roles as needed. Possess practice expertise that is recognized by colleagues and clients. Specific areas of expertise needed for this position include but are not limited to (the following items will need to be tailored to specific position; could include such things as): Actuarial Valuations Retirement Plan design FAS 106 & 112 ERISA Benefit Calculations & pension statements Government & legal environment Plan terminations Non-discrimination testing Able to generate new business opportunities and/or secure additional work with existing clients in practice area specialty by understanding the needs of the client and then positioning all of Aons services effectively. Thereby, has a solid understanding or all of Aon Consultings major practice areas and can partner with other practice areas to present capabilities to new and existing clients. Positions oneself with high level client managers so as to translate the Aons products and services into new business opportunities.
