We are looking for a Purchasing pro with experience in major construction projects, contractor services preferably from a Fortune 500 multi plant environment.. If you are currently a Buyer or Purchasing Manager with a large company manufacturing background looking for a great GROWTH OPPORTUNITY, Please read on! ABOUT THE JOB In this role you will be responsible for a construction and contractor services spend of $50M involving multiple sites. You will work with regional category leaders to drive for the lowest cost and best value services for the company. You will choose vendors and monitor performance updating the Purchasing / Supply Chain leadership team. In addition, you will work with the global supply chain team to exploit synergies in the Americas for the company. In this role, you will develop tools and processes to support the company's supply chain goals and objectives. You will use your experience to analyze problems and propose solutions, and be a key player in influencing key decision makers on supply chain strategies. Minimum requirements include:5-10 years in analysis in these key areas: Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Construction . Previous experience in a multi-site industrial background is strongly preferred. Previous experience in a the chemical or other process oriented industriy is a plus. Project management role is strongly desired. Degree required, MBA preferred. Certifications Six Sigma Black Belt, APICS, CIRM, CPM are highly desirable. Experience in MRP , ERP SAP and/or Ariba, Oracle and other systems is preferred.
