Westat has immediate openings for experienced project directors to join a team of researchers working on contracts with Federal Government clients in the area of military and VA health systems and organizational research. Project directors will be responsible for directing tasks on large-scale web or paper and pencil surveys of Federal employees, military members, military family members, and veterans. Other responsibilities include analyzing and summarizing statistical and survey data and other relevant administrative data and preparing written reports and briefings of results for technical and nontechnical audiences. The qualified candidate must have a master's or doctoral degree and at least 5 years of experience as a project manager in a research and consulting environment. Knowledge and experience in program evaluation and quantitative research (surveys, analysis of large databases) design and analysis are requirements. This individual will have experience in directing projects in the area of survey research for government agencies; excellent writing, analytic, and oral presentation skills; and should work well in a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of health services delivery and organizational issues is essential.
