Job Description:
DESCRIPTION:
Develop system test strategies, test plans and execute testing of complex SONET/SDH multiplexer and Ethernet functionality. Review product requirements, architecture and designs and provide feedback to development teams. Development of high-level automation software. Requires prior test experience, knowledge of EMS systems, excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• BSCS/EE or equivalent experience
• 4+ years related experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop system test strategies, test plans and execute testing.
• Review product requirements, architecture, and designs and provide feedback to development teams.
• Develop test automation.
• Evaluate and provide input on test equipment and test automation tools.
• Develop and/or improve processes.
• Manage joint customer/Company testing efforts, as well as external testing efforts.
SKILLS:
• Testing or Development of SONET, SDH, and Ethernet features for core telecom products.
• Prior experience developing test strategies, plans, execution of testing.
• Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to improve test efficiency through innovation.
Must have demonstrated the ability to:
• develop and execute test plans, based on analysis of requirements and product architecture/design.
• develop test automation frameworks and test automation,
• evaluate and acquire equipment and tools.
• analyze and solve complex problems.
