DESCRIPTION:
This job entails a combination of responsibilities that support growth initiatives such as training, market diversification and geographic expansion. The North America Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing the sales growth plan in North America.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• BS or BA or MS or MBA
• 4 or more years in a supervisory role
• Personnel management skills
• Multi-task oriented
• Leadership & motivation skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain the corporate direction
• Customer diversification
• Electronic efficiencies and communication
• Field rep motivation, accountability and measurement systems
• Maximizing management resources through cross functional training
• Development & accountability of Regional Sales Managers
• Instilling Core Values
• Time & Territory Management\Change
• Maintain senior level contact at key customers
• Build, grow as well as diversify sales in the following areas:
1. U.S. sales
2. Canadian sales
3. New markets
• Develop and execute annual sales plan
• Manage North America Regional Sales Managers, Sales Supervisors, Technical Sales and Contract Administrator staff
a. Hire staff
b. Training sellers
c. Review quotes >$5K
d. Conduct annual reviews for staff
e. Work to achieve department quarterly new order, sales and EBITDA goals
f. Sales department procedures
• Manage North America price list
• Assist with non standard component pricing
• Develop new business opportunities
• Publish and Maintain quantity discount schedule
• Publish and Maintain standard lead-time schedule
• Streamline process from customer contact to accounts receivable
• Forecast inventory and minimum stock level
• Report safety stock levels to leadership team
• Implement steps to improve customer satisfaction
