Our clients growing transportation practice is searching for a talented Sr. traffic engineer in the firms McLean, VA office.
This is an excellent, high profile opportunity to join an industry leader in the field of land development. This senior role provides the qualified candidate with a career opportunity that has unique growth and client management opportunities.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
• Oversight of traffic impact and access evaluation for large and small private development
• Oversight of wide range of traffic analyses and study work including conceptual improvement concept design
• Preparation of technical proposals for private sector traffic work
• Public presentation
• Staff Supervision
• Budget developing and monitoring
• Client management
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in traffic engineering, and project management, and client management (preferred). In addition, superior writing and communication skills are essential for qualified candidates.
Knowledge of highway capacity methodology, traffic analysis software, traffic modeling and simulation software, MS Word and MS Excel are a must.
In addition, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Autoturn are a plus. Qualified candidates must have BSCE, MSCE preferred, and a PE license or ability to obtain professional registration within a reasonable time frame. Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential.
