Job Description:
Wind Farm Construction Program Manager for our Wind Energy Development program in the Upper Midwest. We represent a mid-cap electric and gas utility with an excellent reputation, a track record of success and a solid foundation for aggressive, intelligent growth plans including plans to construct over 900 MW of additional electric generating capacity from both traditional and renewable sources in the upper Midwest as well as significant environmental improvements to existing facilities in the near future. They focus a significant amount of resources on developing wind farms throughout their service territory. Position Summary/Accountabilities Manages a portfolio of projects and onsite project managers involved in wind energy construction throughout the Upper Midwest. Provides leadership, direction and motivation to the Wind Energy Development team. Accountable for performance measurements and standards; guidance and assessment of the Wind Energy Development\'s construction organization, and the selection and management of outside consulting resources. Consults with various business unit representatives to identify process improvement opportunities and promote a service partnership linkage to complete projects on time and on budget. Interface with technical, engineering, financial and procurement support personnel. Provides functional leadership between field operating personnel, customer representatives and others to ensure that projects goals are met. Manages the construction phase of projects.
