Responsibilities may be defined by named accounts, a clearly defined portion of a major MOT account, geographic territory, or industry. Understands the specific marketplace served and how Motorola should best serve customers within the respective marketplace. Accountable for development and execution of a sales strategy for the assigned accounts or territory. Responsible for representing the face of Motorola to our customers and persuading the customer to purchase. Also responsible for representing the customer perspective to Motorola. Ability to initiate and build solid working relationships with diverse customer decision makers and influencers and to be self-motivated, and operate with minimal supervision are critical for success. Creates and uses sales tools; excellent communications a must; strong business/marketing, financial, and computer skills required. Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations Develops and executes sales strategies with minimal input from manager for a higher level of financial responsibility; proactively sells solutions encompassing a wide range of products or services; as required leverages relationships with other business units and/or external partners to deliver solutions; Develops strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers; Initiates and leads customer presentations and value proposition creation. Specific Knowledge/Skills - Advanced knowledge of Motorola Government and Commercial Markets Public Safety product portfolio. Understanding of Mission Critical Communications systems for voice and data - Uses advanced domain / solutions knowledge to competitive advantage - Provides input into development of business products/services; understands and follows multi-business protocols - Develops and adapts advanced sales strategies to unique customer needs; creates customer partnerships - Often leads others in their development; provides input to policies and practices - Develops business solutions and directly addresses financial issues resulting in profitable revenue growth for MOT; able to coordinate and present complete, complex solutions that meet customer needs and beat competition
