Job Description:
CAD Manager 1 CAD Manager for Puebla, Mexico. Serves as overall manager of CAD resources and systems to manage CAD resources, develop CAD application systems and processes. Directs discrete CAD activities & LCC assignments as requested by projects or direct with customers. Supports major programs with CAD resources, systems and best practice process as required. Manages, develops and optimizes the overall CAD resource capacity and competence. Executes this role by performing the following duties personally or through designees. Manages and provide guidance and leadership for CAD resource management and capability development. Manages directly discrete CAD activities in the execution of specific discrete CAD assignments. Manage overall CAD resources, including sharing of resources across projects and the assignment of resources to long-term projects while maintaining budget requirements and optimizing resource allocations. Develop long-term CAD strategy within Magna Steyr de Mexico in regard to specific programs (e.g. Catia v5, DMU etc.) Interface with the IT department as the CAD expert to develop our competence and methods in regards to the CAD process, tools and techniques. Responsible for CAD competence development to meet current and future business needs. Serve as a point person in developing components / systems as it relates to scope of work for CAD program.
