The Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) is responsible for providing comprehensive benefits and services to America's veterans and their families, including compensation and pension, education, vocational rehabilitation, loan guaranty, and insurance benefits. A position at the VBA may find you working one-on-one with veterans and their families, or developing systems and procedures that manage benefits and services for veterans. Major Duties:The incumbent serves as the Chief, Engineering Division at the Hines Information Technology Center (ITC) under the supervision of the Director and Associate Director, Hines ITC. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of all functions of the Engineering Division, including the planning, direction, evaluation, control, operation and maintenance of the ITC facility. This includes both internal and external perimeters of Building 215. The incumbent\'s duties include the daily operation and maintenance of the wide variety of environmental support systems and equipment - heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), evaporative water cooling towers, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), diesel-engine driver emergency generators, electrical power distribution switchgear, etc. The incumbent supervises professional engineers, maintenance workers, warehouse personnel, and other staff membersQualifications:You must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the work of this job that has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform.
