Job Description:
Poughkeepsie Non Profit is seeking a highly skilled Controller to provide leadership and coordination of multiple agency accounting functions. This newly created position will be an integral part of our Finance Team overseeing accounting records, coordinates the month end and year end closing processes, maintains current policies and procedures, facilitates annual financial audit, coordinates budget preparation, develops and tracks capital budget. Directly carries out all supervisory responsibilities for a number of accounting staff in areas including A/P, A/R, purchasing, and payroll. Qualifications require exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all level of employees throughout the organization. Experience with Microsoft Office is a must and Fund EZ software is a plus. The right candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a senior level finance or accounting position. MBA and CPA preferred.
