Senior Environmental Engineer - Remediation

Location: Sacramento, California

Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000/year DOE

The successful Senior Engineer candidate will be challenged by the opportunity to work on large-scale, high-profile redevelopment projects that are defining Sacramento’s revitalized urban landscape. Ideal candidates will have direct and proven experience with contaminated site remediation programs, from evaluating and recommending appropriate remediation technologies to implementation, and O&M oversight. Preparation of technical specifications and construction drawings for competitive bidding and contractor management experience is also preferred.

As a member of our staff you will have complete accessibility to all our in-house leading technology experts which will enable you to design and deliver innovative, cost-saving remediation solutions using a range of emerging technologies.



Job Requirements:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•8 to 12 years of relevant environmental consulting and project management experience
•BS in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental) or related degree required, MS degree is a plus
•Professional Engineer in California or ability to obtain PE certification within 2 years time
•Excellent writing, computational, and computer skills
•Good presentation skills
•Advanced knowledge of the local regulatory climate, with proven negotiation skills with state and local regulators
•Recognized technical expertise by the marketplace

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Designing and managing medium to large remediation and environmental construction management projects and multi-person project teams
•Leading the design of soil and ground water treatment systems and processes
•Maintaining scope/schedule/budget expectations of assignments
•Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and change orders with Partner input and approval
•Appropriately delegating assignments to project teams
•Mentoring less-experienced team members
•Solving complex technical problems
•Preparing and reviewing technical reports and documents
•Ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
•Participating in sales calls and competitive proposal presentations with senior managers
•Maintaining client relationships to support repeat business
