Architectural CAD Manager / Senior Architectural Drafter with Revit experience
Thriving Sacramento Architectural Design & Planning firm ranked amongst the industries leading local firms for the past 50 years seeks highly skilled and industry experienced Architectural CAD Manager for our expanding downtown office.
Ideal Architectural CAD Manager applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
Job Requirements:
* Minimum of 6 years of senior architectural drafting or preferable CADD Management experience within the discipline of architecture and/or engineering.
* Must have a strong understanding of CADD technologies and the ability to promote processes and practices which will increase user effectiveness and stream line office production.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must also be self-motivated, resourceful, organized and highly effective at implementing knew programs, techniques, and procedures for CADD.
* Ability to demonstrate expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop (ADT), Revit, SketchUp and other object-based CADD technologies. Sufficient IT experience desired using extranets, CADD utilities plotting technologies and output management solutions. Additional desirable skills include AutoCAD customization and programming using Scripts, Auto LISP, Visual LISP and VBA.
Job responsibilities and duties for our Architectural CAD Manager will include but is not limited to:
* Development, documentation, and implementation of office standards that increase efficiency and accuracy of CADD production.
* Provide leadership and direction in all facets of CAD/IT Management.
* Direct all relative training, research and recommendations as it relates to CADD technologies and practices.
* Identify and prioritize problems related to software and plotting as they occur to help maintain production schedules.
* Plotter management. Coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance of plotters with manufacturers and vendors.
* Provide instruction, as well as promote the use of efficient and consistent AutoCAD habits among drafting staff.
* Cooperate with IT Consultants in maintenance, purchasing, and updating of server, network, and workstation hardware.
* Assist Principals in staff scheduling of CADD drafters.
* Monitor and coordinate software versions with clients and consultants to facilitate consistent and reliable transfer of information.
* Research and advise Principals of trends and new technologies available to improve CADD production efficiency and keep pace with competitors.
* Periodic attendance at local Revit User Group meetings.
* Periodic attendance at CAD/ Revit Management training sessions.
Our Architectural office specializes in the design, planning, and execution of Healthcare, Education, Civic, Commercial, Industrial, & Judicial projects throughout Northern California and the West Coast.
COMPENSATION:
The successful Architectural CAD Manager will be on the receiving end of a highly competitive compensation package including $60,000-$75,000 annual base salary (DOE), company paid Medical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance benefits, 401(K), profit sharing, two weeks annual paid vacation, paid holidays, annual cash performance bonus program, continued education assistance, and much more.
