DESCRIPTION:
Worldwide Environmental Professional Services consulting firm actively seeks seasoned and experience Senior Remediation Engineer / Environmental Engineer to join our thriving Sacramento, CA office.
Though our firm offers a broad range of environmental services, our northern California offices specialize in the site investigation and site remediation of retail petroleum gas stations and UST projects for large scale clients such as BP, Shell, Conoco Phillips, Chevron, etc.
The ideal and successful Senior Remediation Engineer / Environmental Engineer will take part in the site characterization, investigation, and remediation system design of contaminated gas stations. Senior Remediation Engineer will also have involvement in overall project oversight, management, and supervision of remediation projects and staff with regards to surface soil and groundwater assessment investigations and all overall environmental field work while adhering to regulatory issues. Will manage environmental regulatory compliance issues for several UST sites within assigned portfolio worth upwards of one million dollars in business. Other duties and responsibilities may include generating project proposals, cost estimating, and extensive client interaction and assistance in hopes of maintaining established relationships and the development of new business opportunities for our firm.
Senior Remediation Engineer / Environmental Engineer must posses the following qualifications and experience:
* 5- 15+ years of environmental remediation consulting industry experience.
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (may have environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering degree.)
* Professional Engineer, PE License is a plus (not required)
* Ideal candidates will have petroleum / gas station environmental remediation experience pertaining to site investigations and the design of environmental remediation systems.
* Technical writing skills in the preparation and submittal of groundwater monitoring reports, remedial action reports, and closure request reports (preferred).
* Extensive knowledge and experience with regards to the field of investigation including hollow stem auger rig borings, well development, Geoprobe borings, and air monitoring (preferred).
* Strong staff development and mentorship skills.
