Job Description:
The Plant Manager is responsible for establishing aggressive cost objectives, capacity planning, productivity and efficiency improvements, ensuring quality regulatory compliance, and the development and management of annual budgets and financial performance. Examples of essential functions: · Plan, prepare and recommend an annual operating budget and monitor plant performance to budget. · Lead planning and implementation of cost reduction programs, waste reduction, quality improvement and productivity improvement programs. · Monitor and ensure compliance activities are followed to meet all regulatory agency requirements (FDA, NRC, EPA, OSHA). · Implementation and sponsorship of the development and use of new technologies. · Promote systems to improve the effectiveness of each operation, reduce costs, and work closely with Business Unit Managers and other members of the Leadership Team for continuous improvement. Qualifications · The ideal candidate must have at a minimum a BS in Management. Masters degree is preferred. · 5 to 7 years of experience in high level manufacturing management. · Successful track record of leadership and development of people. · Strong financial background and experience with budgeting is required. · Effective communication and people skills with people at all levels of the organization. · Lean manufacturing knowledge and understanding. · Experience working in a regulated industry and meeting regulatory requirements. · Ability to manage multiple direct reports. · Experience implementing and leading Best Management and Quality Systems. · Proven ability to demonstrate leadership courage and accountability.
