Champion continuous improvement implementation (Lean Manufacturing) and productivity improvement. Promote an atmosphere of excellence, high sense of urgency, high energy and exceptional communication. Key Responsibilities Identify opportunities for improvementLead problem-solving activities within teams for process improvements.Conduct performance reviews of team membersTrain team members (On safety, quality, delivery and cost)Develop department budgets and insure they are performed to plan.Mentor and coach talent with area of responsibility.Coordinates with other functional areas to ensure accomplishment of overall plant objectives.Provide effective associate relations within plant operation by ensuring that employment practices are fair and consistent.RelationshipsReports directly to the Plant ManagerDirect Reports: Machining Value Stream Leader, Process Value Stream Leader, Packaging Value Stream Leader and Engineering LeaderInteracts daily with functional department managers: Human Resources, Finance and Materials.Measures of Performance Productivity improvementsInternal and external quality (PPM)Safety - lost time accidents, incident rate, recordables and severity rateOn-time deliveryFinancial PerformanceBackground and Skills Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).Eight to ten years of manufacturing experience including leadership position experience.
