Production Manager and is a member of the broader plant floor leadership team. . The successful candidate must possess qualities to maintain the high demands of this fast growing industry including:The Production Supervisor must excel in managing in a fast-paced, manufacturing work environment. Approximately 75% of the essential job duties are expected to be performed on the plant floor and the Production Supervisor will function as the key technical and business resource in the areas of system operations and production requirements. The individual must have the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships on their shift in order to foster a positive employee relations environment where teamwork and innovation are used to solve problems.Among the primary responsibilities of a Production Supervisor are:* Assign work duties and monitor the efficiency of daily production in the plant based on plant requirements and critical measures including safety, cost, customer service, and system performance* Evaluate staffing needs of production lines and effectively manage budgeted resources to maximize output* Make sound business decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, knowledge, experience, and strong judgment to consistently deliver against tactical business objectives* Coach and develop employees and, where applicable, deliver discipline according to company and facility policies and procedures. Have the ability to promote a team environment, constructively address and manager conflict, and resolve workplace issues* Ensure communication channels exist on shift to deliver organizational and business updates, communicate program and policy changes, and drive broader business initiatives to the shift levelSkills/Background Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for this role. Demonstrated record of performance and success in a manufacturing leadership role is preferred, along with a minimum of 3-5 years work experience.
