As part of 3M, we are poised for even greater success! The position of 3 rd Shift Production Supervisor located in Eagan , Minnesota will implement the production plan and supervise production workers to ensure that they perform their job responsibilities to specification. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise Product Production using Lean Manufacturing principles Ensure the production of various products in accordance with product standards, specifications and timelines: Carries out all delegated production plans; Verifies availability and sets up materials for production; Creates daily production data reports, which includes scrap created during the shift; Must be able to use office equipment, computer and production equipment, quality control test equipment, molds, and various hand tools; Must use safety equipment; May be required to wear a respirator Supervise Production Employees, Safety, Policies and Guidelines Hire, train, schedule and evaluate production employees to meet production requirements: Assesses skill level of production staff; Determines and schedules the appropriate number of employees necessary to meet production objectives; Informs employees of production specifications, quantities and output expectations; Conducts performance and wage reviews, and makes wage change recommendations to management; Approves employee time records Enforce the safety policies and procedures documented in the Employee Safety Guide: Ensures that employees are trained in the safe operation of tools and equipment including LO/TO; Holds employees accountable for OSHA requirements and safety standards; Ensures that employees are using proper protection equipment at all times; Report unsafe conditions.
