Emerson Electric headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut, is the world leader in the manufacture of plastics joining equipment and industrial precision cleaners. We are looking to hire a Manager of Manufacturing and Planning to work within our Acoustic Tooling Group. The person selected will be responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of the Acoustic Tooling Group, including Planning & Manufacturing functions. He or she will provide direction and guidance to a highly skilled and technical group in the fabricating of very complex development hardware, including design and build optimization for ultrasonic tooling and interrelated mechanisms to ensure the highest quality and cost effectiveness of the output. This position involves development of schedules working with planning and engineering to ensure timely and efficient production. Also, ensuring a superior workforce, trained and experienced to meet business requirements and future growth goals. Requirements Education: BS in Engineering, or the equivalent of a trade school education and 12 years training/experience in hierarchical development in tool-making or machine shop. Skills, Technical Knowledge, Experience: · Minimum 8-10 years experience in machine tool trade. · Strong emphasis in tool making, as well as CNC Machining, CNC Programming using G code and conversational machine programming platforms. · Working knowledge of S.I.T., KanBan, manufacturing systems, SOB estimating, cost accounting and resource planning. · Experience with evaluating new technologies and machines.
