Responsibilities: - Increase business/market share within key vertical and emerging markets by uncovering new opportunities for deepening our penetration in the market. - Exceed established sales targets for the region by securing high-quality business for the organization. - Maintain existing sales base, secure new business, deliver product presentations, and facilitate the introduction and conversion of new products. - Exceed established customer satisfaction goals for the region by ensuring customer needs are met and that customers have a positive experience. - Maintain and promote company quality objectives in all activities associated with the conduct of business. - Develop an aggressive and innovative marketing plan for the region. Plan should include visiting a predetermined number of distributors, engineers, and/or customers to continually develop relationships based on mutual trust and respect. - Provide timely information to home office regarding product performance, negotiating credit terms, customer satisfaction concerns, etc., and work to ensure an effective and mutually-beneficial resolution is achieve. - Remain abreast of competitor information including product offerings, marketing trends, etc., and relay this information and suggestions for gaining a competitive advantage to home office management. - Manage within all applicable budgets and control sales expenses through effective planning. - Participate in industry events such as trade shows and other events for the purpose of promoting Silent Knight products, strengthening existing and building new customer relationships and facilitating presentations about the organization and our products. Requirements: - An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred or 2 years of college education. - 5 years of technical sales experience is required. - Experience marketing and selling products through an Independent Distribution Network. - Ability to pioneer; develop new business opportunities and identify all the influencers in the decision process. - Knowledge of Silent Knight Products or fire protection equipment highly desirable. - Superior communication, leadership, relationship building, influencing and presentation skills. - NICET Level II or equivalent is preferred. - Willingness to travel.
