Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Worker Compensation Program Management: Manages day-to-day workers compensation filing and processes Maintains relationships and works with insurance carrier, Health Resources, Enterprise Workers Compensation Claims Manager, internal Risk Management and both internal and external legal counsel to effectively manage and assist in determining the appropriate course of action for escalated workers comp claims Managing workers compensation files and reports Assists in directing the interpretation and application of established human resources policies throughout the organization as they pertain to workers compensation cases Assists in advising managers and supervisors of various state and federal regulations with regards to workers compensation, safety issues and managing the return to work program Compilation of monthly workers comp data for use in various safety reports Qualifications: BS/BA degree Ten years of experience in Safety Six years of experience at the supervisory level Possess a valid driver’s license In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate would meet the following preferred qualifications: BS/BA degree in Safety Safety certification Ten years of experience in Safety with knowledge of , labor unions, basic statistical methods, budget preparation, and expenditure controls Proficient use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
