Job Description:
Responsible for the provision of services in the area(s) of claim services and benefit adjudication, and claims handling Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of an ongoing quality assurance program for area(s) of responsibility. Ensure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and standards. Participate in catastrophe operation duties as assigned. Resolve all non-routine and contestable claims decision within their authority. Provide guidance to Claims Associates and assist them with questions. Responsible for consistency in claims handling procedures and compliance with regulatory agencies guidelines and standards. Participate on committees and in programs for safety, fire prevention, disaster recovery and so forth. Ensure the development of specific plans for inclusion in these programs. Serve as liaison with other organizational components; establish and maintain the working rapport necessary to develop cooperation and effectively integrate area services into the companys overall business fulfillment system. Receive and investigate all complaints concerning the area(s) of responsibility and its personnel; determine veracity of such and (as necessary) take corrective or disciplinary action and/or prepare reply. Remain abreast of developments in the field(s) of claim/benefit delivery, compliance issues and legal issues by pursuing a program of self-development, participating in professional organizations, interacting with peers, reviewing pertinent literature, and so forth. Incorporate advancements when practicable and cost effective. Direct the preparation of records as well as recurring and special reports and analyses for area(s) of responsibility ensuring that they are complete, accurate and prepared on time. Qualifications Qualifications: Level of knowledge ordinarily acquired through completion of a bachelors degree. Human resource policies and procedures; area-specific policies and procedures; high level of technical claims prowess, superior communication skills. Ability to handle frequent interruptions while working under deadlines and/or working on multiple project simultaneously
