Security Clearance: Not Applicable Category: Administrative and Support Services Job Description/Responsibilities: Reporting to the Vice President of Ventures, Licensing, and Strategic Programs, the Corporate Director of Information and Computing Sciences Commercialization will take a leadership role in developing and implementing the company’s overall growth strategy in licensing deals and new commercial ventures. He/She will work closely with SRI inventors to help define and develop business ideas. Additionally, he/she will: Be responsible for business development which encompasses developing and managing technology licensing agreements, equity investments, joint ventures, partnerships · Develop innovative solutions to capture opportunities in traditional and emerging markets · Develop and manage strategic business alliances and partnerships and provide guidance and expertise to business teams on business development processes and techniques · Identify, negotiate and consummate licensing and joint venture deals with partners in key domestic and international markets. Requirements Requires 10 years or more years of experience in business development for computer science or software technologies • MBA or equivalent experience • Background in commercial licensing and successful ventures • Track record of identifying, developing and capturing business opportunities with commercial clients • Excellent presentation skills and relationship-building skills Personal & Professional Attributes: Demonstrated ability to articulate and execute on a vision• Displayed strong business acumen and leadership • Able to work in a highly collaborative environment • Determined and prepared to put in the energy required to “make it happen” • Inspires confidence and control • Entrepreneurial and driven to win • Detail-oriented Email this job to a friend!
