Job Description:
The Engineering Manager will assist the Director of Engineering in achieving the overall strategic objectives of the company. The primary areas of responsibility assigned to the Engineering Manager are project design, project management, project delivery, and total quality management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Responsible for directing the Project Managers who manage teams of designers that deliver engineering solutions to our clients that consistently exceed the clients' expectations, are on time, and are within budget.
B. Responsible for working with the Director of Engineering in maintaining a highly competent, well trained, and motivated staff.
C. Responsible for promoting company culture and sustaining a high level of morale, job satisfaction, and employee retention.
D. Responsible for working with the Director of Engineering to assure that the company maintains a leadership role in the industry, that the company always employs the most current best practices, and that the company is strategically positioned to grow and retain competitive advantage.
E. Responsible for participating in business development and quality assurance as directed by the President/CEO, the Vice President of Engineering, and the Director of Engineering.
F. Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Director of Engineering as deemed appropriate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineering Manager will provide direct supervision and overall leadership to Engineering Project Managers and Construction Services Project Managers. This supervision includes assignment and scheduling of work, monitoring of performance, coaching and mentoring, and assurance of the overall quality of the work performed by the Engineering Project Managers and Construction Services Project Managers.
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
8 years engineering design experience in a lead engineer role. Strong business management and business development experience. Electrical engineering, I&C, and water/wastewater experience highly desirable
