Job Description:
As a key player in empowering knowledge-based decision making through technology, the Business Intelligence Specialist (BIS) is responsible for maintaining and growing a corporate-wide Data Warehouse, integrating various data sources through solid ETL methods to provide a consistent, accurate and complete view of essential corporate data. Through the use of Business Intelligence products (Cognos and SAP BW), this data is made available through web-based reporting developed by the BIS. The BIS is also responsible for the administration and performance of the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence server installations.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor of Computer Science or comparable degree.
* Experience in the design and implementation of a Data Warehouse
* Experience with IBM DB2 UDB.
* Experience with business intelligence tools such as Cognos 8 or SAP BW.
* Experience with Linux
* Knowledge of data modeling theory and practiced skillset with CA AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler or similar tool.
* Understanding of business concepts (profit, cost, metrics), basic statistical analysis (average, mean, standard deviation, trending) and reporting techniques (grouping, graphing, sorting).
* Basic HTML and JavaScript knowledge
